Terms of Sale

By placing an order with Cliffside Industries, customers agree to be bound by the following Terms of Sale:


To place orders, log onto www.cliffsideind.com or fax them to (800) 926-3435. Cliffside assumes no responsbility for the accuracy of telephone orders. Please be aware that when your order is processed, we process it by the item number only, not by a written description. Please be sure to order the correct item. If you receive the incorrect item due to the wrong item number being placed on the order, the standard restocking charge will be applied. All return and re-shipment expenses will be billed to the customer.


All pricing is subject to change without notification. Pricing is available at any time on our website. It is recommended that customers visit Cliffside's website prior to every order to ensure that your pricing is accurate and up-to-date. Any special pricing, coupons, or discounts are ineligible to be combined with any other special offers.

Minimum Orders & Sample Policy

Cliffside has no minimum purchase requirements; we will process and ship any size order. We regret that, at this time, we are unable to ship samples at no charge to retail consumers. However, wholesale dealers may qualify for one no-charge sample per order if they are a verified business in the kitchen and bath industry and the item's net price is not greater than $10.00. All samples are authorized and sent at the discretion of the Sales Manager. Special-order items (those items which do not ship from the Cliffside warehouse) are not eligible for sample discounting or FOC shipment. Cliffside reserves the right to disallow any sample shipment or to refuse FOC shipment on any sample order. All sample orders are subject to freight charges unless placed in conjunction with another order.


All finishes are shown as closely as modern photography and digital/print reproduction processes allow. Cliffside is not responsible for differences between your literature, your monitor, and the hardware you receive.

Product Information

Cliffside Industries reserves the right to discontinue, modify, alter, or re-design any product at any time. All dimensions are subject to change without notice. Product specifications may change without notice; all specifications listed are based on manufacturer information. Cliffside recommends that you do not pre-drill in case of any fluctuation during manufacturing. Cliffside assumes no responsibility for specifications of products that are incorrectly listed in any location outside of the "cliffsideind.com" domain. Information acquired from a dealer's website may not always be accurate and Cliffside is not liable for mistakes on other websites. Please note that all finishes vary due to manufacturing processes and material makeup. Cliffside assumes no responsibility for variations in color of the materials delivered in relation to samples or photography of the purchased product. Such minor variations will not be considered to be "defects" and any products returned because of these variations will be assessed a restocking fee. We attempt to keep a majority of our items in stock; however, due to order volume, backorders can occur. Cliffside will notify the customer of any backorder situation prior to processing your order. We do not stock any special-order items. See catalog or item page for lead-time information.


All orders are prepaid by credit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Wholesale dealers may qualify for open credit terms if they are a verified business in the kitchen and bath industry. Dealers interested in purchasing on open terms should contact Cliffside Industries for a credit application.


All returns must be authorized within 30 days of the invoice date. Please contact Customer Service for a Terms for Return. The Terms for Return must be completed and returned before a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) can be issued.

Authorized returns (those with an RGA) will be charged a restocking charge. Any unauthorized returns (those without an RGA) will be assessed a higher restocking charge if received within 30 days of the invoice date. Unauthorized returns received more than 30 days after the original invoice date will not be accepted and no credit will be issued. In this case, it is the customer's responsibility to send a call tag to pick up the hardware. The customer is responsible for return shipping. If you received prepaid processing and handling ("free shipping" or "free freight") on your original order, the shipping amount will be deducted from your credit. All discounts given on the original order will be deducted from your credit.

Items will be accepted for return in perfect condition only. All returns must be sent back in their original packaging. We will not accept returns on hardware that has been opened. Once the hardware has been installed, all sales are final. Cliffside will not accept returns on installed hardware – no exceptions. Items purchased on sale, at clearance prices, or while discontinued are not eligible for return.

Credit will only be issued once the product is received and inspected. The credit will generally be applied to the credit card used to place the original order within one week of the issue of the credit memo. No credit will be given for items damaged due to improper packaging. Cliffside reserves the right to inspect hardware before issuing credit or sending any replacement pieces.

Receipt of Shipments and Damage Claims

On the outside of every package, there is a label asking you to inspect the product and verify that you have received the correct item number and quantity. Please be sure to do this as soon as the product is received. Discrepancies must be reported within 10 days of receipt of the package. All claims for defective merchandise and shortages must also be reported within 10 days of receipt.

Processing and Handling

Ground processing and handling charges will be prepaid on all orders of $800.01 or more within the continental United States. Orders are shipped by our freight carriers at our discretion. Because of this, all orders are processed under our shipper accounts and the processing and handling charges are billed at the time of shipment. Customers will be charged for the additional processing and handling charges when requesting one-day, two-day, or three-day service, as well as for residential delivery. Charges for air and international shipments are determined by the weight of the package and current shipper rates at the time of the order. Customers in Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and other international destinations are responsible for processing and handling charges on all orders regardless of the dollar amount. International customers may qualify for discounted shipping rates based on location. For the most up-to-date information, view our handling rates.

Policy Information

The buyer of the product is expected to review and be familiar with these Terms of Sale, and is responsible to notify relevant parties—including but not limited to its customers—of all Cliffside policies and the conditions agreed to therein, prior to any purchase.

Limited Warranty

We guarantee our products to be free from defects in material from workmanship for 180 days after the invoice date. Cliffside will not be liable for products that are misused. This includes, but is not limited to, the use of any cleanser or chemical that will remove or damage the lacquer on the hardware. Please note that even under ideal conditions, no Cliffside hardware has a lifetime guarantee under any circumstances. When Cliffside determines that an item is defective within the warranty period, we will replace the item free of charge. Cliffside's responsibility is limited to replacement of the product. No labor charges or shipping reimbursement of any kind will be allowed as compensation. No other warranty is expressed or implied. For more information, see our product warranty page.
